Once again, much like my take on the Shawn Bolz situation, this post will be short. No need for a long video because the White situation is also clear.
Let’s divide this post up into these main categories (1) the church, (2) the civil authorities, and then (3) a brief conclusion.
Let’s begin.
(1) The church
I first heard about Todd White when I saw him on Daystar TV many years ago. He appeared to be a nonconformist, which he used to his advantage. His nonconformist appearance did not bother me, for he looked like a leftover neo-hippie from the Jesus Revolution. He told his story of conversion and how he liked to pray for people on the streets. He seemed to love to film himself doing this. He appeared on Daystar many times. This must have been a boost for his public fame.
But he did not remain on my radar screen because he was in Dallas / Fort Worth, and I am here in the Greater Los Angeles area. Not really my concern.
Then I heard he opened up Lifestyle University. He became the president. This was a warning to me that he was moving outside of his lane of a street evangelist. But I also learned that the university was nothing more than a training center to do street evangelism. It was not like Biola or Azusa Pacific University. Still, though, danger ahead for him. Would you claim to be a president of a university? Neither would I. He is not President Todd White. Not really.
Then the so-called discernment ministries posted clips of him saying all sorts of wild doctrines. Kenneth Copeland is seen standing next to him, making White admit that Copeland’s strange idea of Jesus suffering terribly in hell is biblical (it’s not). White is not a teacher, so he gets himself into trouble. “The Lord spoke to me” about doctrine does not work. He appears to not use notes. Real teachers need notes. He is caught on video despising doctrine and reason. This may reflect his learning disability, and doctrine–even the basics–gets complicated for him. Study gets in his way. More warning that he has promoted himself beyond his abilities. This is what I mean when someone gets out of his lane. He is not qualified to be president, in his case.
Not surprisingly, Dr. Michael Brown sat down with him on video and appeared defiant. He was here with the “leg-grower” (White). Once again Dr. Brown lacks discernment. I noticed he took down his video, proving he does not have enough wisdom to be a national leader and fixer of problems. But Dr. Brown is not the main point here.
Finally, along comes Mike Winger’s four-hour exposure of Todd White: I Can Finally Show You the Evidence (January 28, 2026).
Story after story in the video says that White is not stable in his soul. He wanders all over the map. The allegations say that he even misappropriated ministry funds for his personal use. He abuses or ignores his elders and team. He seems paranoid, for he assumes that when they challenge him, they are trying to take over the ministry.
Again, however, though all of the evidence in Winger’s video is troubling, the allegations are not on my radar screen. But I’m glad Winger is warning everyone who watches his video. He did mighty fine work for the larger church. As many people as possible should watch it.
Objection: Todd White is innocent until proven guilty. My reply: that’s in a criminal court. Pastors don’t need evidence beyond a reasonable doubt. All they need is their Bible-based discernment. They should no longer platform him, based on Mike Winger’s video alone. Those testimonies seem credible to me.
(2) Civil authorities
I’m not an attorney, but if Todd White misappropriated funds, then this is actionable. He should be investigated by the civil authorities, and if the evidence is there, he should be put on trial.
(3) Conclusion
I kept saying that Todd White is off my radar screen, so it was not my immediate concern. But I did include him in my long list of names I called out, in April 2024. I do care about the larger body of Christ. That’s why I write my articles on this website. I want to teach and clarify the issues.
Here’s the post:
Calling Leaders by Name to Repent
Now for rough justice and needed redemption for Todd White.
I hope White is put on trial, if he broke the law. I hope he is found guilty–if he broke the law. I hope he is either heavily, cripplingly fined or put in jail, if he broke the law. This will humble him and slow him down. He needs this sort of rough justice and redemption.
He needs to leave ministry behind for good. He is unfit. Unfortunately he is still holding conferences (Power + Love), and hyper-charismatic speakers are invited to speak. They don’t seem to care about the troubling allegations against him.
Welcome to the hyper-charismatic church, everyone!
No church should platform him ever again. People need to stop contributing to his ministry, thereby drying up his finances. Maybe jail time for him will convince church leaders and people to stop giving.
He claims that he was a successful salesman before he went into ministry. After he gets out of jail (if he ever goes), he can return to this honorable profession and support himself in this way.
Please, for the sake of God’s mercy and redemption in White’s life, let’s hope he gets humbled with no more attention paid to him. For his own soul, ignore him.
